1. What TaxMad is
TaxMad ([NOMBRE DEL TITULAR] (owner's name), NIF [NIF]) is a non-profit website and app that puts people who need a taxi in Madrid in touch with licensed taxi drivers.
- TaxMad does not provide the transport service: it is provided by the taxi driver who accepts the booking.
- TaxMad charges no commissions to either the customer or the taxi driver.
- The customer pays the taxi driver directly, using the payment methods the driver accepts.
2. Responsibility for the service
The taxi service is carried out by the taxi driver under their licence and in accordance with Madrid's taxi regulations. Responsibility for the service lies with the taxi driver (punctuality, driving, safety, belongings, payment and invoice or receipt).
TaxMad provides the means for the booking to reach taxi drivers and for customer and taxi driver to communicate, but does not guarantee that a taxi will always be available and is not liable for what happens during the journey. If there is any incident, write to us at taxmad360@gmail.com and we will help you contact the taxi driver.
3. Prices
- Barajas Airport ↔ inside the M-30: fixed fare of €33, in either direction.
- Other journeys in Madrid: the amount is set by the taxímetro (meter). The price shown in the app is an approximate estimate; the final amount may vary due to traffic, waiting time or route.
- Sightseeing services, scheduled appointments and long distance: the price is agreed with the taxi driver via the chat and the customer confirms it in the app before the trip.
Any supplements set by Madrid's official taxi fares may apply.
4. Bookings and cancellations
- A booking is considered accepted when a taxi driver accepts it in the app; until then it is "looking for a taxi".
- You can cancel free of charge up to 1 hour before the trip from your booking link.
- If nobody accepts the booking, the administrator may assign it to a taxi driver or cancel it and let you know.
5. Proper use
You agree to provide real information, not to make fake or abusive bookings and to treat taxi drivers and other users with respect. We may restrict or block access for anyone who breaks these rules.
6. Taxi drivers
To use TaxMad as a taxi driver you need a valid taxi licence and the administrator's authorisation. Taxi drivers agree to keep their details up to date, to comply with taxi regulations and to carry out the services they accept. Their actions in the app (accept, release, complete) are logged to resolve incidents. The administrator may pause or close an account.
7. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your password safe. The administrator logs in with two-step verification. You can ask for your account to be closed at any time by writing to taxmad360@gmail.com.
8. Personal data
How your data is processed is explained in the Privacy policy.
9. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here. They are governed by Spanish law.
